After the treatment, the area(s) treated will be dry, red, flakey, and possibly small amounts of scabbing may form. Do not remove the scabs. The scabs will fall on their own.

Day 1 

• Immediately after your treatment, the recommended ointment will be applied by your technician.
• Once you get home, cold compress the treated area. No need to cold compress after 24 hours as it won't do anything.
• You can shower at night, but avoid irritating soaps/cleansers and full water pressure on the treated area(s). If possible, use the recommended cleaners. 
• Apply the recommended oil at night after showering. Make sure to dry the area thoroughly by tapping with a clean towel before applying the oil. 
• Avoid taking blood thinners during the first 24 hours after treatment.
• Avoid all things hot: sauna, hot water, working out, sweating etc.

First week after treatment:

• Avoid wearing tight-fitting clothing for the first 3 days after treatment.
• Avoid excessive sweating for the first 7 days after treatment. 
• Avoid exposing the area to full water pressure of the shower for the first 7 days.

First 6 weeks after treatment:

• Apply the recommended ointment every morning for 6 weeks.
• Apply the recommended oil every night for minimum of 6 weeks.
• Use sunscreen daily on treated area(s), regardless of sun exposure, for minimum of 6 weeks. 
• Avoid exposure to the sun during the first 6 weeks after treatment.
• Avoid tanning and/or swimming during the first 6 weeks after treatment.
• Avoid any creams that contain Vitamin D for the first 6 weeks after treatment.

What to expect during the healing:

• Redness, edema, and light bleeding may be present within the first week after treatment.
• Burning and itching will be present in the early days. Do not scratch.
• When the edema is gone, redness might last up to 30 days ( it may last longer on sensitive skin).
• When all redness has cleared, the stretch marks may become darker than the color of the skin. This is normal and part of the healing process. Darker skin is prone to pigmentation.
• The final results may be seen between 6 to 8 weeks.

Saline Removal Post-Care:

It is critical to follow all aftercare instructions to prevent complications, scarring and to achieve optimum results. Please read carefully.

During the next 4 weeks:

• Keep the area clean and open to the air. Do not cover the treated area with a Band-Aid or anything else. Oxygen provides faster healing. Do not touch the area.
• Do not soak the treated area in water. You can shower as normal but do not let the area stay wet for more than a few seconds. 
• Avoid sun bathing, swimming, saunas, hot tubs, tanning, or intense exercise.
• Do not disrupt the scabbing process (i.e. no picking, scratching, etc.) All scabbing needs to fall off naturally. If you force or pick a scab off, you will disrupt the process and possibly cause scarring.
• While there is scabbing, keep the area clean and avoid applying any lotions/oils.
• Once all the scabbing has naturally fallen off, apply the recommenced oil twice per day throughout the day, for a minimum of 4 weeks.

Saline removal of lip blush:  

• Follow all the above mentioned and;
• Please drink all liquids with a straw until all the scabbing has naturally fallen off. Avoid peroxide toothpastes.
• Cut food into small bites. Try to keep mouth expressions to a minimum.
• Avoid salty foods and liquids for the first 3 days after treatment.

It is important to the process and integrity of the skin that 6 full weeks of healing take place before another lightening session can be done. Lightening and/or removing unwanted pigment is a process and patience is required. Please be patient and give the process a fair chance to work. Expect visible and wanted results in 3 to 6 sessions. The amount of sessions needed will depend on how saturated the pigment is, how deep it was implanted and how much needs to be removed for your desired results.
